Hi! We’re Derek and Alicia. We’re a pair of Canadian 30-somethings who have spent the better part of the last decade in school (undergrad) + starting our careers + then back to more school (grad school while working full time!). Graduation from our Masters Degrees (MBA and MHA respectively) is near. We promised that we’d go on one major trip before starting a family, but it had to be an epic trip!
Prerequisites:
- Some place we wouldn’t take kids later
- A place off the beaten track
- Some place monumentally EPIC!
So, after considering options (and watching movies) we decided on taking the Trans-Siberian railway, starting in Beijing and onward through to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Read along as we prep for and head on to this epicly awesome trip!!!
